EMPLOYER:
Independent Medical Evaluations:
Our Independent Medical Evaluation provides an impartial diagnostic service. Clinical examinations can be conducted by a single physician with significant expertise in disability assessments or by an integrated multi-disciplinary team of specialized clinicians.
FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATIONS (FCE)
The FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation) provides objective analysis of an individual’s current level of function for all physical demands, based on court proven Matheson techniques. Certified Kinesiologists trained in work capacity evaluation through the Professional Industrial Residency Program perform this testing.
Physical Demands Analysis (PDA)
A Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) examines the physical factors and demands of a job and details all the components of that job. Each assessment is based on objective and measurable information about a specific job’s requirements. On site analyses are conducted by fully trained, certified Kinesiologists and enable both the employers and employees to better understand the physical components and risk factors associated with their positions.
Ergonomic Assessment
An Ergonomic Assessment is a proactive mechanism to identify physical and/or organizational issues of a specific job and determine recommendations for reducing or eliminating risk factors.
Conducted by highly skilled Ergonomists (Kinesiologists), the Assessment will provide practical solutions to improve productivity, optimize performance and prevent workplace injuries. It will reduce employer costs through decreased absenteeism, lost time injuries
and WSIB rates, in addition to improving employee retention, resulting in reduced training costs.
Post Offer Employment
FOCUS Assessments will design a post offer screen specific to the physical requirements of each position. Our certified work capacity evaluator, using the Matheson Protocols of evaluation, observes the candidate as they engage in work simulation activities. Objective, measurable results ensure that employer risk is minimized by defining the candidate’s current physical abilities and conditions.
